| Andrea
Zoppini is ‘Franco Romani’ Professor at the
University of Roma Tre, where he teaches Law and Economics and Private
Comparative Law. He is a consultant for several public and private
companies and category associations. He coordinated the Draft Proposal
of the Law Letta-Maccanico-Pinza on Savings. He has been a member
of the Commission reforming the Italian Corporate Law system. He
has also been a member of the Commission on the Recognition of Private
Legal Persons and the Commission established for the reform of the
banks in the Cnel. He directed the research project on Social Firm
commissioned by the Chamber of the Deputies to Cnel (and published
in the Parliamentary Acts 2000). He was a student at the Universities
of Cambridge and Heidelberg; he was a visiting scholar at Yale Law
School and New York University. Professor Zoppini is the author
of three books (among them, a research on Foundations, Le fondazioni.
Dalla tipicità alle tipologie, Jovene, 1995) and several
articles; he edited a book the recognition of legal persons (Il
riconoscimento delle persone giuridiche edited with M. V. De Giorgi,
G. Ponzanelli, 2001) and a volume on international competition among
legal orders (La concorrenza tra ordinamenti giuridici, Laterza,
2004). He also writes articles for the most famous Italian economics
newspaper, the “Il Sole-24Ore” on Law and Economics
matters.
